August 9: We started our pre-Zaylee last hoorah vacation! We drove from NC to VA to drop off our Calli Girl with my parents and my lil sister Lindi. We also left our car there too for Lindi to drive while we were gone. It's always good to be home--even if it is for less than 24 hours!
August 10: On this day I would have rather traveled with triplet infants...or toddlers than my husband! We were on standby status at the airport so the instructions we received were to arrive at the airport early and be ready to check in at 4:15 am. This makes for an early wake up considering we had a one hour drive to airport. Well, me being me, we got there uber early, 3:30 and I thought Bach was going to kill me! And so it begins....it was worse than the Army's "hurry up and wait" policy. To make a long story short we took many o' naps in the airport terminal and took many o' trips to the customer service desk to find out the next flight we could get on. Boy oh boy you would have thought that Bach was hormonal and pregnant--not me! And don't get it twisted, he was very well prepared for this day, and was in the know that it could be an entire travel day to get to one place. That's exactly what it was. End result: An 8:30pm empty aircraft for a non-stop, one way flight from VA to San Diego!! The west coast and our vacation was finally underway! His family was so kind to work with our crazy travel plans and make sure we got to where we needed to go!
We didn't get to San Diego until 11:45 pm (west coast time) just to realize that our bags got sent to LAX--surprise, surprise! Good thing I listened to my Mom and packed and extra outfit or two in my carry on! Mom's are the best!
August 11: Aunt Steph picked me up and took me to Grandma and Grandpa's and Uncle Chris was there to get Bach and take him to his boy's bachelor party in Huntington Beach. Upon arriving at Grandma's well into the wee hours of the morning, I was greeted by a smiling face, one of which I've never met before, but felt like I had. That's the amazing thing about Grandma's, they offer such a beautiful spirit. I think you inherit that, if you don't already have it, as soon as you become a Grandma!
Later that day after a few good hours of sleep I wake up to a house that feels like a home and a smiling Grandma and quiet Grandpa! I had only an hour to get ready before the family breakfast was going to be underway. The "Meet and Greet Paige and Zaylee" breakfast! It was good to meet everyone--finally! Uncle Chris, 2 out of the 3 of his kids; Mark and Ariana, Uncle John and his wife Norma and their son Dylan, Aunt Steph's boyfriend Eli and of course Harley was there too! They were all so lovely! After breakfast we had some cake to celebrate Zaylee and I got to open a few gifts that people got for her! It was very special and I was so grateful to have married into such a wonderful, loving family!
Zaylee's Love!!

I also got to meet Bach's three cousins; Jenny, Stephanie, and Sabrina! Jenny and Stephanie went to dinner at Red Robin and then went to go meet Sabrina at her apartment! Hope to meet all of their kids next time! It was so good to meet them all though!

Our Precious Zaylee!
Our last ultrasound until we get to welcome Ms. Zaylee into this world! Very bittersweet, but it's getting closer!
Look at that NOSE!!! I was a little concerned at first that our little girl was going to have a BIG nose but in fact the ultrasound technician (and many others that saw these pics) told me that it was because she was pushed up against "her home" making it appear smooshed and bigger! She also is only 25.5 weeks in this picture so her face doesn't have all the chubby fat on it that she will get, also, making her nose appear bigger! Either way, we love our girl just the same! :)

Overnight Trip to Raleigh
It was Dad's annual Raleigh Showcase Softball Tourney in Raleigh. So, I made a trip up there to watch him coach and to see his team play. I also got to see my Mom and spend, yet a little more quality time with her. It's summer time for her so she's off work and is more available to be flexible with her schedule! When I arrived my Mom's face lit up and Dad gave me and kiss and rubbed on my belly! :) Grammy and Grampy love from outside the womb--Zaylee you have no idea how much you are going to be adored--so fortunate!
As always, being with Mom, we had a full schedule--I think that's how we "relax" by staying busy--how does that even make sense?!? The Bachellor family was about to get blessed all over again, as if God's miracle growing inside me isn't enough, Mom and Dad brought a TON of stuff down from friends up in Virginia for Zaylee Paige! And if you don't believe me, I have proof!

Beautiful Car Seat from Honorary Aunt Aimee!
And in the background is a Snap & Go Stroller from Grammy!
Clothes from 0-18 months from Becca & Al!
Swing from Becca & Al!
We also received a plethora more (2 huge tubs to be exact) from a high school friend, Rachel, full of clothes and other miscellaneous "baby stuff" while we were in Raleigh! We are so grateful for another blessing to help us welcome to the world our Ms. Zaylee! I say SUCCESSFUL TRIP!

The Reveal
First things first on this day, Thursday, June 13, 2013 our little peanut got Patient of the Day Award because the ultrasound technician was able to not only get all of the necessary anatomy pictures but also the little growing human bean had no problem revealing the gender...not modest at all--just like Mom!
Can we get a drum roll please.....we are "tickled pink" to announce....
"Roses are Red Violets are Blue, Momma Has A Vagina, And Baby Does Too!" :) HAHA!
Mom spotted this sign so we had to take advantage!
The Wakefield Tradition continues...now we will have Payton Lee Morrison (3 in November), Rilyn Reese Morrison (due in October), and Zaylee Paige Bachellor (due in November)! I don't think Grampy Wakefield will ever get a boy in the family!
Zaylee Paige will be the first grandbaby girl on Bach's side of the family so they are uber excited to spoil her rotten!
We are so very blessed and joyous to know that Daddy's Girl is on her way! She is everything that Bach has ever needed!! :)
We are so thankful for God's blessing!
Here is a video of Daddy finding out about Zaylee Paige

Grammy is coming to town!
The anticipation and excitement has been building for Grammy's arrival to Wilmington for a MUCH NEEDED visit to see me! This entire past week I have been stressed out and the only thing getting me through is knowing that Mom is coming to save the day, like always! Thank God she's here! But, in addition to my much needed Mommy-Daughter time we also get to find out if this little poopsie will carry on the Wakefield tradition and be a precious darling Daddy's Girl or will we change it up and start a Bachellor Revolution with shoulder pads and football helmets and a Momma's Boy with a heart of gold!
...couldn't be happier...! love you mom!!
....and there she is...to save the day!!

Gym...What's that??
So, last time I told you I would get back to you on my newfound motivation to get back in the gym....I think I've been once! I just can't bring myself to do it! I am always busy doing something and I'm still playing on a slowpitch softball team so there, there's my justification! Also, in addition to that justification I also just don't trust myself to scale my workouts properly--I'm one dimensional when I get into the gym--GO HARD OR GO HOME! This doesn't settle well with the hubby or the human bean I'm growing inside of me! Until December sometime...no more gym talk and I've decided today, right now, that my guilt will also stay at bay!
These will have to wait to be "used" sometime after the baby...but I still wear them for my walks with the baby!

12 Week Appointment
I had 2 appointments this week. One with the regular OBGYN and one with Wilmington Maternal Fetal for the high risk testing, etc. At WMF we got to see an ultrasound of our little babes for a good 20 or more minutes as the technician tried to get the lil thing in the right position for the NT Test. The baby was so active! And if you know me, you know that my favorite lift in the gym is squats...well let's just say this baby knows it's Momma and while I may have taken a break from the gym this little rugrat hasn't....my womb is his/her gym...he/she was doing full squats in there!! Bach and I were amazed and loved every second of it! This also gave me the motivation to get back into the gym...so I'll keep you posted on that too!
The Next 4 Weeks
The next 4 weeks creeped by! I pretty much stopped working out which isn't what I intended on doing but was still being very cautious. Also, after one of my last visits to the gym I realized that I don't know how to workout like a "pregnant girl". I still wanted to lift heavy and hard and let my heart rate rise far above the "prescribed" bpm. I also was in midlift of something far too heavy for a pregnant lady and remembered my current condition dropped a ton of weight on my leg!! (check the damage below) Until I'm a little further along and a little more confident in the scaling of my workouts I just stay active but just not in the gym!
During these 4 weeks I also haven't been eating as healthy as I feel like I should and defintely not eating my veggies like I should--thank goodness for V8! :) One thing I have been craving is Snickers, which I also craved during my last pregnancy! Some momentary turn-offs I've encountered are eggs and peanutbutter..those have since subsided and I can tolerate them.

Ultrasound
It was confirmed we were pregnant! Only one baby though--but dr's said it must be a super baby because the reason they brought us in so soon is because my bloodwork was through the roof leading them to suspect possible twins. That would have been wonderful but God doesn't give us anything we can't handle! :) Here is the ultrasound at 8 weeks!!
